Modular picks are a unique product developed by the
Krukonogi-Titanium company. These picks have a replaceable tip, which offers several advantages. With an ice pick, only the tip wears out, so if the tip can be replaced, you don't need to buy a new pick. This is a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly option. It also allows the use of higher-quality steel in the replaceable tip while keeping the cost reasonable. This is because there is significantly less steel used compared to a whole pick when replacing the tip.
Krukonogi-Titanium is currently manufacturing modular ice picks for the Petzl Nomic and Cassin X-Dream ice tool models. These picks are marked with an
M after the brackets, and the number indicates the version. For example, PNSOO(A,TN)
M1 is the first version of the modular pick for Petzl Nomic. Also, read the general article on Krukonogi Titanium picks, their differences, and labeling -
